So for the last probably 10 boxes of pennies I did, I put all of the 95, 98,99,00 aside to look through later for errors. I have 2 ziplock bags full of them, easily $40 worth, and I finally started going through them. Halfway through, no WAMs yet, but I did find this. I love these. Also, I have stopped looking through penny boxes, mainly focusing on halves and nickels, but my dad still does them. In his last box he found a steel cent and a 1914-S.

Broke my 5 box skunk streak for halves with 2 '64's and 2 40%'ers.

Tomorrow should be fun. If my count is correct, there are half a dozen boxes of halves waiting for me at various local banks. Gonna spend the day picking 'em up and dumping 'em.

Went to Wachovia over the weekend and the lady said they had $830 in halves that someone brought in "after someone died". I had my doubts, but bought $500 worth but she made me agree not to bring them back there. I told her I wouldn't. Well, I get them, and they are crimped on one end and others are sliced down the side of the fed wrapped rolls and retaped. I knew they were someone's dumps. I was tempted to take them back in, but said no. Now should I feel bad about wanting to use them as my dump bank out of spite since she clearly wanted to unload all them on me so they didn't have to send them to be counted? I did find 4 NIFC's so it wasn't a complete waste, but it was annoying none the less.

There's a chance the customer lied to her.

She probably wanted to dump 'em, though.

    Excitement then...Nada!

I get my last of my 3 boxes from my one bank today. I see it's got a date stamp on it: January 5, 2010. So, I'm thinking...awesome, from what I've read on various forums early 2010 still had some killer boxes. Then I open the box....

Roll after roll of the most clad rolls I'd seen yet. Not a single one that looked remotely interesting. I think you know what I mean, when the sides are all worn and the reddish, orange stands out like a smack in the face. Of course there were the shiny 1996's and 1997's that hadn't been circulated much, but the clad stuck out like a soar thumb on the side.

The irony is the most luck I've had this month have been from boxes dated August and September of this year. Maybe one day I'll find one of those old boxes that is loaded. Not tonight though!

I've gotten boxes of cents stamped 2009 with 2011's in 'em. Don't worry about the stamps.

2 cwr's of halves today... nothing but I did pick up 88 ikes and a couple "nice" coins a teller saved for me. None are significant but one is a 1980 proof quarter.

Well I think after that box I'd agree. Not going to pay the date stamps any mind any more.

    Moonshine ....................

Great morning for me. 4 silver Rosies in $100 worth of dimes. Box of halves produced 1951 Franklin, 1967, 1969d x 4 and a 1992 Columbus Commemorative half (which was an ender). Someone must have cashed in a roll of AU 1969 halves because I got 3 of them in my last box and 4 in this box.

Numbers on the boxes are very important. There are certain numbers in my area that I do much better with. The half boxes that I have the least amount of success don't have a number.

Did (3) Bags of Dimes($3000-total) and hit 17 Roosies and 3 Mercs this morning. One silver out of every $150.00 is above average. Usually that number is one out of roughly $185.00. I'll take those odds.
