I found it at an old house that is said to 135 years old< from what i can tell it has no date mark on it< it looks to me like some kind of play money for kids< it made out of copper from the way it looks and feels< i just started metal detecting back in march< so its new to me< so here is the pics<
Dont think it's a cool, more like a token. I would go to www.google.com and type those letters in then "+" "token" and see what comes up. Wish I can be more help.
It's a Masonic Penny, given to entry level Masons. The lettering stands for Hiram, Tyran, Widow's Son, Sendeth To King Solomon
No clue whether they still give them out, but there are plenty of them out there and I think there is at least a small collector's market for them.
Does anyone know how old this is might be or what it may be worth< i found it at a house thats 135 years old<
It's interesting that it doesn't have a city name on it like the ones I've seen. I have one with the name of some small town in Oklahoma. They're going for ~$5.
