Good red book deal??

    I have a chance to buy a lincoln cent red book for 19.95 - 15% discount. Is it a good deal??

    If you need the book then it might be a good deal. You can find them on Ebay and Amazon cheaper though.

    You can save yourself shipping and handling and walk into any Barnes & Noble and pick one up for $16.70.

    Found one for 9.99 + 3.00 shipping. For the 16$ one i might as well buy here but for 13$ ill buy on ebay.

    I see that clearly, and you can have it shipped to the store, and still not paying shipping.

    I suppose I should have asked why you want the book in the first place. If you want just a general reference on each year and mint mark then the red book is fine but if you want a comprehensive book on Lincoln cents then you are wasting your money. IF that is what you are after I would recommend The Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents, John Wexler and Kevin Flynn or The Complete Guide to Lincoln Cents, David W. Lange

    You also said you have a 15% coupon....................sooooooooooooooo use that.............and you get the book still under $17 pre-tax.

    That starter kit only includes the Redbook Guide to U.S. Coins, not the redbook you're looking for.

    So much debate over a book. If you want it buy it if not then don't. I rather use the online free references provided by jhinton and use the $16 for a bag of wheaties!
