I would personally say Morgan Dollars for all the reasons mentioned...but Peace Dollars are a good choice too. Look at the designs and pick the one you want. Like has already been said...both have many common dates and with the current run on silver many can be bought in nice shape for near melt. The Morgan set is a bigger set...but both designs are very attractive and popular.

If you like them both...I suggest getting a Dansco 7172 album. That is a date set for dollars from 1878-1999. The nice thing there is...most dates have at lease one common coin so this album would not be that hard to fill up. It also contains slots for a coin from each branch mint. But, it does run through 1999 so the last page is Eisenhower and SBA dollars. Here is a link to an eBay auction for this album. It's not my auction...the only reason I post it is it shows what each page contains for coins. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dansco-7172...336?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fc86f0d8

Just so you know, the only dates here that might be a little harder are 1893, 1895 and the 1921 Peace.
