    Hey guys,

I need help getting clear pictures. The closest I can get with the camera and still have a clear picis about 8 inches, and you can't see any detail whatsoever. I want to post some coins to get some peoples opinions on ct, but I can't get any clear images. Any tips? I am NOT buying a new camera.

What kind of camera do you have? Is there an inner threaded area at the end of the lens tube for filters? Usually the instruction manual will say what size if there is , like 45mm, 52mm, etc. Hopefully there is, because you can get a set of close up filters in various sizes on eBay for less than $20 usually. Otherwise, you may have to hold a magnifier or loupe close to the lens and focus through it.

You have to make sure your camera takes 'macro' shots. It would be a little flower icon. Without it you cannot use that camera.

With my camera. once macro is turned on, I click the button half way, the camera will focus and tell me its ready by showing a green box. Once it focuses I do the full click.

That's how most will work, even on my camera phone.

I use a camera without a "macro flower icon" ... who shoots on AUTO anyways!? ;)
