    to me it looks like the date was enhanced with acid. it is unusual to have a full date showing when LIBERTY is almost gone. I would have passed

    I agree. It looks like something has been done to the coin to bring the date back. It just doesn't look right to me.

    Add me to the acid treated list, the wear pattern certainly does'nt match the rest of the coin.
    I too would've passed, but whatever floats your boat.

    I'd pass , unless you're on a tight budget , better to save and get a no problem coin , you'll be happier in the long run .

    I'm going with acid treated as well. The whole surface seems pitted slightly and the date is too strong for the amount of wear. Good thing you didn't win it.

    Never really saw what an acid date looks like....but I have found buffalo's roll searching with a lot more liberty and a lot less date.
