is this even a lincoln cent?

    got this in change a while back and held on to it. just found it again and thought i would post. any thoughts?

    Kinf of looks like a terrible fake cast slug.

    the reverse lettering is, recessed or incused whichever the word may be

    Actually I think it was one that was used in an electrolysis experiment as the anode to copperplate something.

    Looks like it could be a dryer cent to me. I had a nickel that got stuck in a clothes dryer for a very long time and there are definitely similarities, especially on the obverse. :thumb:
