    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

After quite a bit of thought, I have decided that I must agree with you. It's a 1960 D.

Thanks, I had already figured that much out. take a look at the 6, it appears extra wide espically at the stem, also look at the 0 it appears thicker than normal. I know its hard to see from the scan.

It may be the result of the photo, but to me it looks like it may be the small date variety.

Thats what I had it marked as, a small date, but the 6 sorta of looks smushed and the 0 really thick so I was almost leaning towards Small over Large Date

Yes, its a 1960 d small date. The pics are not clear enough to see the extra thickness your referring to. Nice find!

Did you check coppercoins.com or Wexler's to see if you've got one of the doubled die date varieties (small/large, large/small, etc)? I have a handful of the different varieties, but it's tough to say for sure what you've got from the pics. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but if you attribute it please let us know! :D

Appears to me to be a small date with maybe some die deterioration ? As others have said, hard to tell from the pics, but I don't see any error. However, you can check it against the pics at http://coppercoins.com/diesearch.php. With the coin in hand, you might be avble to match it to one of the die varieties.
