1726 Unknown British Coin

    If it makes any difference it was two photographic images rather than one scan :)

    We didn't make the rules about copyright, we merely enforce what rules/laws there are. And they are pretty plain and easy to understand for most folks. Sometimes people want to interpret the laws to mean what they want them to mean, and other times they just misunderstand them or get confused about the fair use clause. But copying entries by scanning them - that's a no-no any way you want to look at it.

    looks like lots of great debating here about this coin, not that I have any idea what any of you are talking about lol.. so I guess I should try to find a reputable numismatist and see what they can offer me.. i suppose that will be the tough part.

    There's is no debate. The coin is without question a taler minted in Germany in the province of Brunswick-Luneburg.
