Once again, just digging through my endless coin collection and came across this. http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff502/RDAmra/photo3.jpg http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff502/RDAmra/photo2.jpg PS: I will most likely be posting a few more threads because I have TONS of coins I'm curious about.
I'm no expert but I think that's just a one ounce silver round, but maybe some real expert in the field will know more.
It's not listed under comm's in the Red Book. And it does not have a denomination on the coin, so I believe that it's a Silver Round, also.
I know that on the certificate of authenticity it said the dies were destroyed? No clue what that means, I could post a picture of it shortly if you'd like?
They are saying NO more will be minted after the dies are destroyed. Does the COA list the mintage numbers ? What about from what private mint ?
From what I'm seeing online it was made by the Chrysler Corporation. Here's a bit of info that I found.
Looks like a Silver Round to me too. There was a US commemorative for the US Bill of Rights. It was in fairly high mintage - the local coin shop has several in a bin with circulated Peace Dollars for $33 apiece.
It doesnt have any mintage numbers, or say where it was minted on the COA. Sorry I don't have more information on the coin. (It does have a "stamp" that says liberty mint on the COA? Not sure if that's relevant?)
River City Coins has them for $60 http://www.rivercitycoins.com/silverrounds/commemrounds/commemround.html Plain ole 1oz silver round.
Ok... Now I've found ten Indian head pennies dated 1891-1892, 1900-1907. Any value there? This week I'm going to hit a few book stores and see if i can stay off of here for a while
Probably not. There may, of course, be some sort of exception there, like an extremely high grade coin...but most likely, no, nothing of significant value. probably in the $5-ish range http://numismedia.com/fmv/prices/indcnt/pricesgd.shtml
