Ah! I see. I did not even bother to look when I saw rings. That is not exactly my area.

Just an update on this item... eBay removed the listing. It was a hijacked account.

Just curious, but How do you know it was a hijacked account? mattdog777 still has his rings listed.

I sent the seller a message through eBay's "ask a question". He stated had no knowledge of the listing and had immediately informed eBay. They removed the listing and had the seller change his password. The same thing happened to me about a few years back... even though I had my regular listings up, someone got hold of my password and listed a motorcycle under my account. EBay contacted me via telephone through their contact info and had me change my password on the spot. Let's call it a "semi" hijacked account. I assume if the transaction had been completed the "seller" would have insisted on a different method of payment, as I can't understand how the hijacker could have tapped into the individuals' PayPal account.

I know it has happened. Someone tried to sell a motorcycle on my account several years ago. I was more interested in how you knew. So far as I am aware, there is no way of knowing unless you talk to the seller - which you did.

This coin is listed in the red book. I believe, colonial coinage. Curency/currency are both used. Spelling is correct. I have a Replica of said coin. Reason, I don't say, copy, is I cannot find it anywhere on the coin. I believe the difference is the date: Mine doesn't have the pointed numerals (date). My. "Avatar" is the reverse of my coin. On the anniversary of the coin, there were replicas made. Hope mine is one of them.

Jeez.... don't any of you read the previous threads? The account was hijacked, THAT'S why eBay removed it.

Well. Since there are no pictures of this mystery coin, I am going with fake. Also, since it's on the Internet, I will also say fake. Why? Because the Internet is made up of electrons and electrons are not elements. Coins are made from elements. Thus, if it's electrons only, it's fake.

This post is made up entirely from electrons. :)
