    2 boxes of Halves:

    Box 1: 1 x Franklin (1963) and 6 x 40% Kennedy
    Box 2: 7 x 40% Kennedy

Total of 14 Silver Halves. By far my best day for BWH boxes in a looong time!

Nice finds everyone. I'm very slow right now.....

A bank I get halves from didn't order this week. Another one will have one box tomorrow (instead of my normal two from them) :(

I bought a box of dimes: Skunk
    $23 in halves: Skunk
$150 in Q/D/N/C in loose from a friend: Some copper, a couple of GCanyon Q's, a Yosemite and a Glacier (my first 2011 Q found)

No silver found at all this week.... :(

I've had the same problem the last week or two. I'm wondering if it was the long weekend, or if there are more boxes out in circulation, so the armored services are running low... maybe they're going to have to get some new inventory from the FRB's! heh

Picked up a box of N's and a box of H's from BoA yesterday; another branch didn't order anything, much less my H's, this week - said they had to actually send coin out this week, so I bought a box of N's; also picked up my usual 2 boxes H's and box of D's from my favorite bank.

    Just finished yesterday's N's: 3 x war, 2 x '40, 3 x '41, 1 x '42, and...... 2 Buff's!! (1924 & 1935) First from circulation! I saw a bunch more from later 40's and 50's; I'm just not sure if I should be keeping them...? What's the gig with the pre-1960 N's?

    1) Been skunked lately on EVERYTHING! Dimes and halves! Last week I found 2 40%ers in $26 loose. That will probably be all my luck for the next 2 months =(

    2) VA!!! You NEED to post some pics of that walker! I am insanely jealous and interested to see how it looks!

    Interesting find, bob.

Pulled another '64 out of a tellers tray, and did two boxes of dimes giving up 5 silvers, including a '45. Not a bad day... now to go pick through my dealers junk silver buckets.

22 rolls of CWH rolls from my credit union today: nothing.

I've been to at least two different banks serviced by Brinks (I saw the armored cars), and they each gave me the 'clear' wrapped rolls - which agrees with everything I've read here. My question is - are these worth it? Does anyone use them, and if so - do they ever produce silver? Also, do their boxes contain clear rolls as well? I've only ever gotten Brinks-wrapped nickels, dimes and quarters (not halves).

    Thanks in advance.

I hate myself for asking this, because I swore that I would learn it...but 2001P Half Dollar is NIFC right? I got one today. I know that all 2002+ are NIFC, but I could have sworn that 2001P is also, where are D went into circulation. I would check my Red Book but alas my friend still has it. Only thing of note for today.

Bobbeth - please keep us informed about what you end up getting from the lady. I've dealt with a few people like that before on the side. I always tell them what their stuff is worth, what they're likely to get from a coin shop/pawn shop and then what my offer is. I find that if you lay out the fact that you're giving more than the other guys but still a few bucks under melt value it's win/win for both of you.

I've yet to have anyone not deal with me, although at my suggestion I have had 2 people get quotes from coin shops because I sensed they were unsure what I was saying was true.

Can't wait to see what the woman has.

I'll let you know......I do know that she has something WAY out of my price range....a $5,000 note.

I don't know what those go for, but I think it north of $20,000 for a circulated one. I'll check it out before I meet with her.

There are gold 5,000 bills also, although I don't know that any are actually known to exist except for one in the Smithsonian. I think they say that based on the serial numbers there could be others out there; I read that here on a thread one time.

A quick read on 5,000 bills indicates that even in heavily circulated condition, a 1934 5k bill would be worth 30k, meaning that in nice condition who knows. The 1928 only has a few dozen examples known and the gold certificate or whatever it is, none except for one.

It sounds like you have the potential to buy something that most people will never have the chance. If I were you, I'd be emptying everything I could into getting it.

Good luck - you need investors? Hah

I just found 48 95% copper from a roll from my grocery store. When I opened the roll, all of the edges were brown, and I thought there would be at least one wheat, but there weren't any.:(
