I got this in change from the bank, it's not in great shape, but was wondering if the way the green seal is printed high is a type of error or not.
I'm afraid its not nearly enough off to be considered an error. The serial numbers have to be over the seals or off on the portrait or off so far that part of it is missing off the paper. Believe me, I've been there and done that .
I see what you're saying, it's like the seal and serial numbers are actually in the correct place and everything else was printed low.
Ok here it is, technically it is an error but not enough to get you a high price or premium. That makes the note worth maybe 3 or 4 dollars at most.
Any of you guys gone through straps of $2's before making your judgements? Man if I could get '$3 or $4 bucks' for every $2 I will find/found like that I'd make thousands per month!
well that's also dependent on the market and who is interested. You might make that amount, but it could be over a long period of time. Most collectors pass on these types of "errors."
When it comes to 1976-2003A $2 notes, I want perfect! They made soooo many and geared at collectors that there is no excuse to own perfect Gem quality... An error from these series would need to be wicked! I mean fold overs or better...
