She has been dying to find something good either in rolls or straps. This was her first real find. I have gotten her into collecting abit. She completed the state quarters circulated set on her own and has most of the ATB quarters that has been released thus far. Missing mostly P mints.
Nothing awesome, but I found 9 more $1 star notes today. I guess I am a magnet for these things. I think that makes about 30 in the last month that I have come across. I know they don't really have a premium but I can't make myself spend any of them.
+1 except a little over 20x the $ amount including various denominations my bank tellers stash for me...
Nice find Moonshine. I haven't been able to find too many older $10's lately. Well, prior to the 1990's anyway.
Noticed an older reverse on the bottom of the teller's stack of $20's when receiving cash back from dumping coins this weekend. She said she'd been holding onto it but said I could have it since she had a couple of other older notes. She seemed reluctant at first since she's had it for awhile so I went back the next day and gave her an AU 1965 40% Kennedy half.
Is giving her a 1965 Kennedy Half 40% silver your way of thanking her? Wow I've been looking for those like no tomorrow with no luck. I have 1 but I've had it for a while now and I am interested in getting more.
She said it was her "first bill"...not sure what that means. She definitely had some attachment to it but said I could have it. I figured giving her the half dollar was a nice gesture.
Well thats nice. If you ever find yourself with some extras you don't want/need... You know where to find me
Searched $550 in $1 notes and kept a series 1997 Dallas note: K33211675A Nothing found in $100 in $5's. TD Bank has notes that are in the worst condition...ugh.
Lol. :too-funny: Yep, I'd have to agree w/you there. I bought $200 worth of $1's from them on Friday, and just about everything in both straps was completely used up. I did find a 2009 B-B block Fort Worth note (6.4m printed) though. It's in sad shape, but I'll keep it as a place holder, until a better one comes along. I do seem to have good luck with TD Bank, when getting $2's, though. Not necessarily with them being in great shape, or anything, but they always seem to have the most on hand, when other banks will have very few, or none on hand.
I use TD Bank's coin counter to dump coins that I've searched so that's why I search notes from them. For $2, TD Bank has ordered them for me...I'm due to place an order.
Face value finds are the most exciting aren't they? You gotta also love the "who would want this raggedy junk, our customers like new money..." Thank you ma'am, happy to help LOL Found this morning in a single $100 strap Single teller, one stop later
I went through one strap of $1's today at lunch and found; 2001 F 07059036 * to fill a hole and Birthday note 2006 L 19780310 P
