i have a handfull of half dollars that are form 1971-1976.

    Depends on year, condition and mint mark.

    Yes. They are face value. Be sure to check the mint marks on the coins to make sure there isn't possibly a proof coin in that mix that someone spent. Look for an "S" mintmark. Judging from the photo it looks like a handful of circulated clad halfs.

    I have a bunch of these stashed I am going to go check for any 'S' SF mint ones. Does this increase the value significantly?

    oh! i found a few more. okay these are the years and mint marks

    1949 ben franklin half (can't find mint mark)

    two 1964 D halves

    1968 D half

    fourteen 1971 D halves

    1973 D half

    two 1974 D halves

    ten 1776-1976 D halves

    one 1776-1976 No mint mark half?
    (i see no signs of scratching off the mint mark)



    and that is all my halves

    The '68 in that condition will only be worth the silver in it, which is currently $6.40.

    The 49, 64's and 68 carry a premium for their silver. The rest are worth $0.50 each.

    The Franklin and the '64s are worth $15.64. The rest are worth face unless they are MS65 or higher.

    Yep... the '64-D's are worth $15.64 also.... so don't spend them!

    The Ben is worth melt also... nice mirror image photos, lol... oh... and you may want to crop your fingernail out of the photo.

    It is hard to tell with that pic, but I would say it is worth melt, which was stated above as $15.64.

    on the front it says "keep me and never go broke"
    and on the back it says "montana grand chapter O.E.S. miles city 1972"


    anyone have a clue?

    I guess it all depends on what that horse shoe is made of. It could be a collector item, but as for the value of the Lincoln cent, not much. Anyone else know anything about this?

    Those horseshoe holders were made as far back as the 1950's, usually aluminum
