Dose anyone think that the reverse of this 1875 20 cent coin might have a mint or die issue above the right wing or at the end of the "A" in AMERICA? I also noticed a small issue to the right of the mint mark. Also not sure about the spot between the U and the N on the left side. The markings on the obverse side I think are
PMD, but I'm not sure. (would love for this Junior member to be wrong).......Thanks, Pat IMG_2646 20 cent 4.jpg IMG_2647 20 cent 5.jpg

Looks like PMD to me. Although the mark by the UN could be a die chip.

Dat a die crack above the eagles' left wing (right below the beak)? :)

Looks like a fake to me, the mark by the UN looks like a casting bubble.

There's a good chance it's a cast copy, based on the bubble under the UN in United, the bubble between the NT in Twenty, the bubble between the EN in Cents and the overall granular appearence of the fields. Have you checked diameter and weight???

Hi David, I dont have an elaborate scale, but what I do have is showing 5 grams. I would have to take it to a coin shop or jewler to get a really accurate weight. The diameter seems to be exactly 7/8" or 22mm. hope this helps. A little definition of what a casting copy is would be a greatful also.........Pat
