So, the best thing to do would be; (a)hoardem' till you have a 100 for eBay; (b)spend them;(c)exchange them at the bank

But of course, they have no silver in them even though they are commonly referred to as "silver dollars." Some of the S mint Ikes are 40% silver, but were not meant for circulation.

I agree with 19Lyds....they aren't sitting on anything other than Prez and NA dollars. Not even sitting on SBA's, let alone Ike's.

As far as the OP's Ike's..... If they're clad, minus the Type 2, they are spending money. For the example of $130 on ebay, after the fees, and shipping (100 Ikes is a heavy package...flat-rate Priority is what, $11???), you are better off saving gas $ and just filling your tank with 'em. JMO, though I know some will disagree.

They also have a lot of SBA's I read that awaited a fate, but this book was not current.

Banks and Credit Unions are different from B&M shops ;)

What I meant was banks and credit unions do not charge above face like a B&M would. ;)

I actually ended up setting them up at the garage sale my aunt & uncle have going on and sold 4 for $1.25 a piece. The sale will probably end Monday, so I hope all seven will go. The guy that bought them said that he will be back tomorrow for some buffalo's or Merc's. Hopefully he buys them all :)
