I have a fair number of these, mainly fractional pieces. I get the CDN which came out online today. The problem is that dealers will rarely sell 1/10 oz. gold and platinum proofs at the same price relatively as the 1 oz., there is usually a premium over this price for all the fractionals, 1/2s, 1/4s and 1/10s. Of course the CDN price is for box and papers, IRA acceptable.

Also, are PR69 and PR70 gold and platinum eagles and fractionals worth more than the bullion coins in NGC and PCGS holders? A fellow just offered me 2006 PR70 PCGS gold eagles. No box and papers so it is guesswork what the holder coins are worth. Is CDN up to date on these?

The lower you go in fractional terms, the higher the premium from dealers!

And yet greysheet does not reflect this. So it is the usual situation where coin dealers try for a higher price, hope someone bites, and if they do not they have to sell for the base dealer buy price which this morning is $1960/oz. with box and papers. So presumably 1/10 oz.s are worth $196 each or thereabouts.
