hi everyone thought id ask u guys advice im in the uk i run a house clearance business i have just aquired the comple american banknote archive series 1987-1992 all mint found a little on google but wanna know roughly what they are worth and were best place to sell thanks julian.
If you have all six volumes it appears that is is worth close to $1000 at a numismatic auction. Here is a link for more info: http://legacy.stacks.com/Lot/ItemDetail/188860 Also, this websites lists it in excess of $2100, with them stating that they want the 1992 set. I would suggest contacting them and offering it to them. Be prepared to take pictures of the sets. http://www.kenbarr.com/abnmis.html Their contact info is listed here: http://www.kenbarr.com/homepage.html I hope I am not breaking rules by posting these links. I have no affiliation with either company and am not necessarily promoting eith one. More auction: http://currency.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=310&lotNo=16897 While I do not collect paper money, I would be interested in this set as a piece of art, but would not be willing to spend that much money on it.
ok thanks for that well they are all mint with the protective sheets between, i am going to ebay them i think start off price £100.00 each set or would it be better to list them as one lot?
I would suggest listing them with Heritage Auctions in the US. While their selling fees are substantially higher than eBay, they would have a much better audience, expecially since your going to get the most money from an American bidder. Just a suggestion.
