You guys are crazy, or never heard of EBAY?
Get THE modern currency book that only covers '28 to current small notes! I keep that book close when bidding on Ebay, along with a current Black Book.
    It list FRN/Silver Certs/U.S. Notes
    Series, Year, Block, and Price.

    Here's the amazon link;
    http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Guid...2451/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1314749387&sr=8-8

I commend you for knowing exactly what you want! The 1928's will be ruff but not impossible! I just scored a 1950-D B/2 $10 star note for under $40, so there are deals to be had!
Be aware that you're going to have to deal with Wide/Narrow/Seal Color among other things with the FRN$5...

I think this is the thread that you are looking for...

    http://www.cointalk.com/t98370/

Twelve different people each trying to collect all bills from a specific bank.
I haven't been buying over the last six months but I am done with...
    $1 notes from SF
    $1 star notes from SF
    $2 notes from SF
and I am about 2/3 of the way done with the $5 notes from SF

Thank you for this direction to that thread.
Impressive items some people have here.
So where are these guys at? Are they still here and collecting? I wonder if my GF sister's friend knows any of you?

There are a few members in the group that are always around, don't know if they are still working on this goal or not. There are also a few people who I think have left the hobby. Personally I have taken a break from this goal (and collecting in general) but I still check the site every few days.

As far as knowing anyone from this site I have only met one person who I have talked to on cointalk.
