Its a good story in the area of money, US history, the law, jurisdictions, and common sense. I hope that the Landbords get something in the end for all the trouble. And then there is the mystery shrouding the most valuable coin in US history, the 1849 $20 Liberty. In the Bowers' book mention is made that there may be another issue somewhere. That would be a huge find if another one ever turned up.
This is a great story thanks. Also if the 1933 double eagles are counterfeit then what about the five 1913 Liberty nickles? Now there was some shady dealings.
Also ran a 5 page article in Bloomberg magazine this week. I was flipping through it and flipped to a page with pictures of them and got excited.
