I was going through some of a friends coins and found this ’64 25cent and didn’t exactly know what to make of it. I love error and variety coins but I have not seen much like this before even on Coneca. I took some pics with my digital microscope so I really hope that it helps. Thank you to all and especially anyone that can assist me is helping my friend to know what to do with it.

You know Tim, when you start to magnify coins to that degree, you begin to see all sorts of things. So I have no idea what you have. Sorry!

I like detailed photos as well but like jloring stated, there might be a bit to much close detail there..

I'm not seeing anything of note in any of your photographs other than an extreme close up of the motto.

I don't see a significant error there. I have read that errors not readily visible at 7x are not considered by dealers and collectors ? Still, I keep all my Washingtons that aren't absolutely "junk".

I see a die scratch inside the "G" but can't find any reference that says that is indicative of any variety.
