A welcomed gIft from a friend. In rough shape, but she's been through a lot.

Nice S-167 Early State III after the Reverse crack at (S)T develops but before the Obverse crack from Liberties Eye to the rim. This coin helps to answer which came first.

Thank you Marshall. The knowledge some people have about this type of information never ceases to amaze me. The "normal" person will never know how much they are missing by not learning about these coins.

Thank you that helps. I have been going back and trying to ID any early copper varieties that I have. Still learning curve with that.

Your welcome. The fraction bar almost touching both ribbons is the key to S232.

I certainly will know where to post a photo for help when I manage to find a nice copper to purchase......~

I'm slowly going through them. The top one is S-258.

The second one is slowing me down. Almost everything points to S-260. A Large Fraction with 1 tucked well under the ribbon. The D, S and M leaves are correct. But then I get to the berry right of (N)E. The berry on your coin looks just a bit low to me. Nothing else looks better though. Perhaps give this a stand alone thread and get the opinion of others.

    The third one is S-253.

    The fourth is S-268.

    The fifth is S-276.
