I thought this might be a good idea for a thread. I am trying to see how long I can keep a thread activly going (since most of my threads die out pretty quick). Okay here are my favorite bills from every denomination: $1 is a 1928A Funnback. $2 is 2003A $2 * GEM (extremely rare). $5 is 1993 * AU. $10 is 1990 * CHCU. $20 is 1995 * XF (anyone else have one?). $50 is '63A * CHCU. $100 * XF-AU is low print run '96 320,000. One note on the $100 is it is the only note in my collection acually printed before the Series on the bill and not after (printed '95).
And plus I meant like bills you already have in your collection not just your favorite denomination... Like if you collect $1', $2's, $5's, $10's, etc what is your favoite from each denomination?
I did not say I could not see them. You just missed 4 bills. You did say from "every denomination", right? Well the 4 you missed I would consider my favorite. Since you are a big collector or so it seems where are yours? I am new at this and learning. I thought for sure you would reply to my thread on collecting from the Reserve Bank of choice. My girlfriends Sister's BF seems to know alot about money and he said this would be next to impossibile to assemble. What do you think? Yes I am asking your expert opinion.
I don't have very much of my currency photographed, but here are some of my favorites by denomination from what I have:
Ok, we can't talk about favorite denominations without throwing in some fractional and MPC currency! Here are my favorites from Fractional and MPC, along with a $3 confederate Interest Bond. The $1 Black Eagle is XF, The $2 1976 is not only a USPS stamp cancelled note, but a star note in ChCu, The $5 2006 Boston star is amazing with great centering. Then the $10 1861 Confederate, or "Sweet Potato" note is my 2nd Confederate addition. The $20 1981A is plain amongst the others, but has superb centering for ChCu-Gem CU. The $50 1861 Confederate ends the Confederate series for me and the 2 $100 Dallas stars are from the smallest star print run since the 1970s. Unfortunately I do not have any of the higher denominations yet. Enjoy!
I have yet to get any bills in the denomination over $100. I have had oppertunities to purchase $500 bills, but I was unable to come up with face value (sadly) in the poor econimic time. Post the link for your post you are speaking of and I will go answer it .
Nice! I love your $50 and $20! I sure wish I could have got my hands on that BEP promo but it sold out within like an hour!
I have a significant collection of 1976 $2.00 FRNs First Day of Issue with a stamp, and, without a doubt, your note is a rarity!
I backed out because I decided it would tie up too much cash... Now I wish I would have found a way to buy it AT FACE ;(... It was kinnda when I first started collecting though and I didn't realize the significance. That'll never happen again.
