I live in Southern California, and I'll be traveling to Georgia in October. I've never visited a Federal Reserve Bank before, but I'd like to do a tour of the Atlanta facility while I'm there. What should I expect? Is it worth going? Any selling points to help me convince my non-collecting travel companion friend to go with?
Downtown Atl is not a place to just hang out now. The Feds Res Bank is in downtown Atl. Never been to it, even when I live there for 25 years. Good luck, have a safe trip.
I have been to the Philadelphia FRB, when I was in the lobby the fire alarm went off they had to evacuate the whole joint, and the U.S. Mint Police came over from the Philly mint to help with security. it was crazy. LOL
