May not have anything but PMD but I found these two dimes while searching rolls. The First one is a 1983 P on the right , with what appears to be doubling of the nose tip. The letters , date and mint mark are not crisp either. The Reverse has an massive amount of scratching but I would have thought if PMD , the damage would have been much worse to the design and lettering. The Second is the finish on the 1991 P on the left. Not so evident on the Obverse but you can really see the difference on the Reverse. You can see that under some scratches , it is very shiny? This all may be nothing but I thought I would ask, Thanks!
The lines that you are referring to in pictures 2 and 3 are called "flow lines". When a coin is struck the metal flows and creates these lines. These flow lines are what causes luster. By the looks of the flow lines on pic 2 and 3, I would say the are from a deteriorated die.
