Any 2 or other number or P or other letter between the wheat stalks is PMD (POST MINT DAMAGE) or illusionary based on other PMD and wear on the coin (except for some 1909 Cents that had the designer's initials there at the bottom of the reverse, the mint did not place letters or numbers in that space. It is SPACE.). NO Wheat Cent was issued with a numeral there or P or other letter for a mintmark. No US Mint put the mintmark on the reverse of the Wheat Cent. If there is a mintmark on the Wheat Cent, it is below the date on the Obverse side, not the Reverse side. The only mintmarks used on the Wheat Cent were D for Denver, and S for San Francisco. Also Coins don't get road rash and are not road kill. Those are not coin terms. They can be run over and smashed, and otherwise handled badly, but then they are damaged and valueless. If you want to learn more, you should get a red book, it's really the first book anyone collecting coins (US) should have, even if it's several years old. If you choose not to, at least look up the Lincoln Cent on Wikipedia and look at the section Wheat Cent (under Production) Aside from this, I'm glad you enjoy the pennies. Collecting coins is fun for many people. Hope you find a real error at some point, and not just run-of-the-mill worn and damaged ones.
#1- coins are struck not printed #2- post a pic if you want an answer. We cannot see what you're looking at no matter how good our psychic powers may be. It may be a counterstruck coin (PMD) or it may be a "dropped letter (or digit)" or it could be your imagination or you're a troll and wasting our time and we'll have to call.....
Mirza most likely a counter struck coin, being the number 2 and a new coin it would just be considered damage
You're right. I seem to recall another person, claiming to have errors when in fact they did not, and even listed them as such on eBay but refused to answer a direct question as to the type of error the coin allegedly had.
