    I have a D & H 406a Anglesey 1791 Halfpenny token. What does the 406a indicate?

That it is the 406th variety from Anglesey which makes it a half penny dated 1791 with 25 acorns on the wreath on the obverse and a reverse that is similar to the rev used on D&H 400. The edge of D&H 406 reads PAYABLE X IN X LONDON X OR X ANGLESEY X The "a" after the 406 indicates that the edge of this coin is different.

The edge on this coin should read PAYABLE X IN X LONDON X OR ANGLESEY X The X between OR and ANGLESEY is missing.

Thanks for the info. on the Angelesy Mines Halfpenny 1791 406a Token. Was this coin minted in Wales?

No. The early Anglesey Mines tokens were made in Wales but after the first couple of years they began farming out the production to other firms that specialized in coining. The D&H 406a (in fact all the 1791 half pence) was manufactured by W Williams in London.
