I've been meaning to post these for a while now. So far, I have Indiana and Louisana. Anyone else finding these in their roll-searching? I think it would be cool to assemble a collection from all 50 states from rolls. Does anyone know what types of places do these impressions? I am guessing "Tourist-trap" type places along the highway.

a box of Nickels (You're right Merc...they are addicting):

    1 Dateless Buffalo
    2 x 1944 War
    1 x 1945 War
    1 x 2000S Proof

    1 x 1939
    2 x 1940
    2 x 1941
    2 x 1947
    and 19 from the 1950's....

    That's it for today

Gotta love them nickels. They'll turn you into a numismatist. You going to the Philly Whitman show in about 2 and a half weeks? I'll be going up on Friday since I'm off.

    Box of halves, 1 40%er.

Send me some info on it Merc. I'd like too, but the rest of the weekends in the summer are shot for me. There are other shows I'm sure in the area. We have to connect and catch up.

    I'm digging the nickels.

Don't dig the nickels too much. :p That's my game. I'm starting to mark all of the corroded black nickels with my initials, let me know if you find one.

I agree about nickels being addicting; when I got my first dateless Buffalo in change last year, it started me on a journey to be the serious collector that I am today.

Sounds like you're gonna have a good time anyway... I only have off because I work that weekend. It's by far the biggest show in the area, though, I'm looking forward to it. I know there's one in the WC area I think 4x a year? Not sure, but that is supposed to be a nice show too, never made it out to that one. Probably a fraction of the size of the Whitman, though, which was something like 700 tables last year.
That's a heck of a score. They won't sell for melt, I usually get about 85% of spot for my 40% silver.

ebay them. they'll go for more than $5 each on there. dunno how much you're looking to get but that's where i sell mine. i even made a regular customer out of one of the ebay buyers and we deal without using ebay now when i've got coins they're interested in.

last 2 days i've got $300 in halves and haven't found a one. hope this luck changes tomorrow. taking a little road trip a few hours north of me. planning on hitting all the banks in the small towns. really hoping i find something nice.

Asuphiphi, mjpm.com is a great place online to sell your silver. they only deal with larger amounts (minimum $100 face) so they can pay closer to spot than other places. They are currently offering 11.84 per $1 of 40% silver, or 5.92 each. Coinflation has a 40% worth 6.49, so they're paying a little over 90% of spot, which is the best you'll get. You could sell on ebay, where rolls seem to go for between $120-$125 so after fees you're getting $105-$110, which is 5.25-5.50 per coin. And then there is always craigslist, put an ad up there and then take the best offer you get. Good luck selling them. Although I don't remember seeing the pictures of them, but maybe I missed them.

Yeah they are kind of neat to find. I found an Alabama and Nebraska CS when I was roll hunting Pennies...seems like there was another one but I can't quite recall right now.

    2009 DDR, I'd imagine.

Half of them aren't even DD's, just die chips and whatnot. There's a couple legit ones, though.

Stopped a four banks today in a small town I visit a couple times a year. 2 ikes. $21 in halves... nothing. I discovered that one of the banks has a coin counter. Doesn't help because I don't live there. I haven't found any counters where I live.

God... That's a problem many of us would love to have. It sure must be rough, getting all those 40%ers. What an issue. You could always dump them...! :)
