Here's an eBay auction that's closing soon, claiming the note is "CU": http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Paper-Money-1886-1-Silver-Certificate-Martha-CU-/370535066070?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item56459c69d6

This same note sold at a Heritage auction in 2005 and was graded at the time as follows: "This Large Orange Seal Martha is a problem-free piece with a fair amount of claim to the full XF grade. A good looking note."

Looks like it's been washed and pressed to remove some obvious folds. Here's what it looked like in 2005:

And here's what it looks like today:

I've contacted the seller but no response so far...

Yes, looks like that one have been repaired. I've seen some others that were certified as AU then came up on different auction as uncertified CU too. I thought that dealer is pretty good stamp dealer, maybe the owner repaired the note and sold it to current owner.

There is a good software called track and price that keeps track of the serial number of notes that come up for auction, but it's not free.

Definitely washed and pressed. You can see the discoloration in the "new" note's appearance. Too bad. That Martha was nice before, now it won't get a PPQ designation.

I resized and color corrected to compare the two images.
