Quick question...which banks do you order your halves from and which banks have produced the best for you?

I use M&T and 1 N bank here in Philly for Halves.

Any of you philly/eastern PA guys ever tried PNC for halves? When I finally get my paycheck I plan on opening an account there and trying to order a box of halves. I KNOW they can and do order them because there is one branch that always has them on hand.

And Merc I see you just answered my question...

Think theres a first national near me too...I've been really slacking....mostly a lack of funds deal though

I like PNC, tellers are friendly and generally accommodating. Highly recommend them.

As I was cashing in bottles at the grocery store I work at, the cashier at the courtesy desk informed me that he found two old cents. It turns out they were both 1891 Indian Heads! These are now the oldest coins I've found in circulation, my first nineteenth century finds, and unlike the 1902 I found weeks ago, these aren't corroded!

You gotta get hunting. I regularly find teen cents. Actually, I've found more from the teens than the 20s (18 teens, 12 20s). Oldest wheat would be a 1910, but an 1893 IHC would be my oldest roll searching find. Got a 1911D the other day, not bad looking either.

Also, halves have been a total bummer lately. I've been finding the occasional 40%, but I'm really in need of a decent score. Or a 90%er, at least.

Congrats on the finds, IHC's are hard to find in general circulation that aren't AG or less, let alone corroded. I go through about $150 in cents a week and my last IHC find was in June.

    1 box nickels: 1937 buffalo, 1977s
Couple rolls of cents: 2 wheat, 1988s

Does any one else found proofs in circulation? I have found 2 cents, 1 nickel and dime, all in rolls.

I searched through a roll of half dollars and found nothing except a 1976 holed one. I also searched through a whopping 4 rolls of pennies. I found 4 wheats 1934,1944,1953,1957.So I didn't do too bad.
