I was looking to buy one. I have no clue on how much i should pay. And do coin dealers have them? What I do know about it is they where minted before the ihc. As of what im hearing $16-$18? Is this true?

i paid 1200 for a ngc ms 64 the other day. the same dealer had PCGS G4's for 20. So it really depends on condition.

You can find lower grades for between $20 and $30 all day. My local dealer always has a tray full.

Just out of curiosity, Another member and I have both offered to send you some coins for free and were told that you were concerned about strangers on the internet. If you are concerned about strangers that want to send you coins for free because they want to help you out then why aren't you concerned about strangers that want to sell you coins?

It really depends on the date, mint mark, and condition. For the more common years, unslabbed in decent condition, expect to pay somewhere around $20+. For a very fine, or uncirculated condition, rare year/mint mark, slabbed, sky's the limit really.

    I paid 18.50 for all 3 (1857 1858 SL and LL)
    3 for '57
    .50 for SM '58
    15 for LL '58
    They are all VG

I sell 57s at $20 and 58s at $12 at a local antique mall. Quality varies, just depends what I get from auctions.
