I saw this thread on another site and thought it was pretty good. What coins or coins are you hunting for right now. I am in the hunt for an XF 1935 D Washington for a while :headbang:

I'm hunting for bargains, so anything in the gold or silver category is fair game. You never know what the next bargain will be. In theory, there shouldn't be any, but things get mispriced. This doesn't happen in a predictable way, so I can never say in advance that I'm going to buy XYZ on a particular date at a particular location. I'll never finish a set this way, but to me it's more interesting than a date and mintmark set in a particular grade.

I'm looking for a low grade, certified Seated Dollar for my type set.

Don't really know....I might hold off for awhile....I have just completed a few deals so I need to wait till I get them in.....BUT the good news is that my job is back now....Mowing lawns has started now for this year so maybe I can start soon.

IF I buy a coin soon it will either be a 1914 Buff or a 1953 PF66 Franklin.

    Hey, I mow too,

Well, on the side I guess I should say as I'm a Network Engineer for my main job, but I run a small lawn co on the side for extra cash...

Its a great way to get some much needed excersise and earn some extra cash too, but I don't do enough to last make it year round....

I have about 8 regulars and about 4 or 5 now and thens.... I just bought a 32" Exmark Walk Behind and I'm building a old school 48" Bunton, that a Friend gave me for free... Needs Belts, Pulleys and one of the 3 Blades....

The only way to make money cuttin grass or doing any related manual labor is to do it for yourself.... Otherwise the guy that owns the company works you like a slave and make all the cake...

Back to the coin question, there are several Morgans (various dates and Mints) that I'm looking for in MS63 and above (I'll pick up lower if they are cheap enough as I'm building 2 sets)...

Also, I am building 2 Sets of AEs, one in RAW and one in NGC: MS 69... I'm looking for everything but, 1989, 2002, 05 and 06 in MS 69 and everything but 2005 and 2006 in Raw....

Nice to see someone else that mows lawns ;)
I used to have about 3 but right now I'm down to one that is a paying job.....the other one is our own lawn!
It brings in some extra money for coins and that is always nice!!

I'm in the market for a set of MS war nickels.
I have a set of circulated, but a collector friend recently purchased a BU set and they are beautiful. I plan to but the set in airtites and then put them in a custom display I made for the eleven coin set.

Well I guess I can say that my next coin wasn't the 1914 Buff.....GDJMSP knows what one I'm talking about and it was really nice....at the last few min someone took it higher and I didn't get to go up....oh well maybe that proof Franklin will work out ;)

As everyone here is probably doing, I am always looking for THE bargain purchace. But, I have my eyes and ears open for Seated Liberty dollars. An 1844 in the AU50 range and an 1873 in the XF range. With emphasis on the bargain.

Right now I'm looking for some of the tougher '78 - '93 Morgans in whatever grade I can afford (various CCs, '86-'88 S, etc)

At a coin show last weekend a dealer showed me a 1955DD Lincoln Cent slabbed and graded as AU58. Just didn't have that kind of cash on me. He would have taken a credit card but would have added 25% more for the coin. Total was about $2,400. Kept looking in my wallet but was about $2,000 short.
Just out of curiousity, what is the other coin web site?

    25% More for a C.C. transaction?

Wow, he was trying to stick you....

Every C.C. swiper machine setup I have seen charged the company like 3% + 30 cents....

I could she him charging like 3-4% to cover his added cost, but 25%...

Two of the places I go, give a 3% discount, if you pay with cash so they can avoid the 3%... They even explained it that way...

I absolutely am lusting after a 1917 type I standing liberty quarter, grading 63 or better, so I can drool over the forbidden exposed breast. I just can't afford her......guess I'll have to settle for my girlfriend.:hail:

Which way is the wind blowing and how much can I afford to spend? It varies from day-to-day and week-to-week :D
