    Me again...

Thoughts on which variety this coin is? Shame that it has that huge scratch on the obverse....why I hate 2x2s...

There is a slight shadow of a D that isn't really visible in the photos from straight on. I really have to use a 15x loupe to see it.

    Weak D if it's faint.

First off, it is a weak "D". Technically, the definition of a no "D" is the nothing is noted using 10X poser loupe. However, I can see the D in your icons before I even enlarge them.

Before I make any further comment, I have a question. It the reverse rotated relative to the obverse?

Thanks for the clarifications. If I hold the coin in between two fingers and rotate it, it does appear that the reverse is rotated (by maybe about 5 - 10%)

Are you thinking Weak D, Die Pair 3?

Yes, but I still would not swear to it. DP#2 and DP#3 obverses look very similar. Yours looks more like DP#2 obverse, but I can assure you that you do not have DP#2 reverse. Look at how weak the "I" and "E" in LIBERTY are. And the 9 in the date is mushy. Those are characteristics of DP#2. But 2's in the date and rotation are definite indicators of DP#3. So I would say you either have DP#3 or a fake. 60:40?

Definate weak D, I can see it easily.

Agree, weak D. As to DP's, whatever RLM's says I'd buy.
