John, In the condition that the coin is in, it must have been lost the day before you found it! Back when I did a lot of metal detecting, I never ever found a Silver coin that old or in that nice of condition! I can't see any real corrosion and it looks to better than an AU-55. Are you sure that you found it metal detecting? Nice find! I wish I could find Silver coins that nice when I metal detect! Frank
That coin has been cleaned. Did you do it? If so, how? That's a neat coin, and to be honest my first thought was that it was counterfeit. I'd love to see the reverse, and high resolution shots of both sides....Mike

Yes, with soap and water and eletrolosis , the coins were found where a house had been burnt. Some coins had some stuff on them that soap and would not take off.
