I have decided to become a supporter of Coin Talk. After thinking about it I was actually surprised that I had not done this sooner. I learn more from this forum than from ANY numismatic magazine I have ever read and I enjoy the people (most anywayJ). I remember when I first joined and I saw that we could subscribe and support the forum; I told myself that if I liked it then I would subscribe. That was over a year ago and I had forgotten all about it until today when I saw the link. So, in case anyone else had the same thought and forgot about it later, I would urge you to do so. I know it cannot be cheap to run this forum and with all the information it provides I would hate to see it disappear. I would also like to note that I do not ever remember Peter asking for subscribers or donations. That alone should tell you something. So thanks Peter for an awesome forum.
When I walk the bourse floor, I typically have a sticker on my shirt that says "Do you CoinTalk?". Other CT members have occasionally introduced themselves because they saw the sticker. Many more non-cointalkers talk to me & I just recommend that they visit & sign-up. I've seen more than one new member here that was introduced by this sticker advertising & good word of mouth. The more people each of us can introduce to Cointalk will ultimately result in new members. Very best regards, collect89
I like it. Pros: Knowledgeable/genuine people spanning all generations. Good resources. Cons: Very little to talk about, seemingly repetitive, close-mindedness.
Cointalk is a great way to end a stressful day at work. No political talk and no personal attacks are great reasons alone to love this site, not to mention discussion of the greatest hobby known to mankind!
