Ricky, Here is a link to several reputable dealers in your state. You will need to find the one closest to you, then ask your father to drive you to one of them. http://ohio.uscity.net/Coins/
Have you tried the sacred coin dealer mating call? It sounds like this.. "Hey, my grandpa just left me this old silver dollar dated 1893 with a little s on the back. You think it's worth something?"
Is that 1893s Morgan Silver Dollar? 100,000 Mintage..A single coin of Eliasbergs of Baltimore, Maryland sold for too many dollars I think about 6- 7 figures.. edwin of Columbus, Ohio.
Here's a link to 283 dealers.suppliers in Ohio... there's probably more. http://ohio.localguides.com/ypcyell...=google_state&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=ypc
Finding dealers is not the problem - there are scads of them. What you have to find are dealers that you can trust. If you use the link that Mark gave you, that's exactly what you'll do. Of course many collectors seem to have a problem with trustworthy dealers because they think their asking prices are too high. Well, I hate to be the one to tell you but there is no free lunch and you do get what you pay for. Buy only from respected and trusted dealers and you will never have a problem. Buy from others that you don't know or that you have no references for and odds are you'll have a lot of problems. And half the time you won't even know you have a problem.
