I would never look at a toned coin as a long term investment. If you like it and are willing to pay the price...then buy it, but don't think about flipping it...even down the road. It wasn't that long ago that ALL toning was considered bad. Nobody wanted toned coins and most were dipped to remove it because people wanted blast white. Today, collectors pay crazy premiums for toned coins. But, who knows if it is going to always be that way. One thing I have learned is the world tends to work in patterns. Old fads become new again and what's hot today isn't tomorrow. Just a word of caution.
