Hey everyone I just found this old thing in some of my great grandfathers things. On the front it says "Pan-American Souvenir Buffalo 1901" and "The Electric Tower" On the back it says "This is to certify that the U.S. government has delivered to the W.F. Doll MFG Co NY the entire amount of steel saved from the wreck of the Battleship Maine" and then there is a little steel horseshoe that says "Maine Feb. 15th 1898" and on the inside of the horseshoe is says "A Maine steel souvenir W.F. Doll MFG Co NY" Then under that it says "Signed By: W.C. Gibson Commander U.S.N in charge general delivery of stores" This first pic is of the front, the second of the back and the third next to a quarter. Im just kind of wondering what this thing is. Thanks guys.

I have no idea what it is, but the design is most impressive :).

Non silver Pan American Exposition medals have listed value in the range of $2 to $6 in my 1992 ref.
