I read the double die thread but I am still confused on how to tell. Please help me. The one on the left is the one I think is the DD .

Without more detailed, close up photographs, this will be impossible to attribute.

Neither of those are the Doubled Die Obverse (#1) 1972 Memorial Cents. They maybe different, lesser-valued 1972 DDO's, but it is very difficult to determine that due to the insufficient photos you've included.

Anyone else see "72 DD", and automatically think he's referencing bra size?

6 ft circumference? I'd rather not try and think about that :)

BTW, with 15+ varieties including the many minor ones, there's a good chance that both of yours are ddo's. The DDO-001 may be the "big one" for that year-and the easiest to see-but there are others like the #4 to look out for. The best way to be 100% sure of which varieties you have is to look for the die markers (try the top link in my post above for Wexler) because many of the 72 varieties are very similar. Here is the link to my variety ddo-004 so you can check the die markers (keep in mind that there are cud on the rim next to Liberty in the later sure state that are not present on mine): http://www.cointalk.com/t187912/ Lots of luck to ya!

Not sure about that-there are many varieties such as the #2 that are heavy on the date. The problem is we can't see Liberty or IGWT well enough to know for sure. I tried to enlarge it but the pic gets too pixelated, and the angle is poor.

Hopefully the OP can get some new pics so we can see the motto and Liberty and look for die markers as well.
