    Hello all,
This nickel was handed to me a few minutes ago and due to it's unusual appearance I thought it might be collectible. What do you think?
(I can get better photos if needed)

So telling my boss to "SHOVE IT" was a mistake?
But seriously...the impression is a U shaped groove, not V shaped like a bolt cutter might cause. Also it appears to be compressed, not cut or grooved.
    Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Nope giving him that 8 track tape of Johnny Paycheck wasn't a good idea

Looks like somebody tried to cut it with a file or band saw

It really appears to be caused by compression. A better camera would show that when viewed from the edge. It's also slightly larger, in diameter, than a normal nickel.
What in the heck could someone have been doing to it?
Too much time on their hands I suppose...

    Hey KoinJester...

    Whadda ya mean by tape?
JK I grew up on that stuff.
