I know a guy who screwed up and lost his eBay account. He opened a new account with a new email (don't know what he did with paypal). He got busted. Now he sells using his buddy's account, which he is slowly screwing up. A year ago eBay had a gimmick where you could add another family member and use the same paypal. I don't know if it's considered a separate account. I put my daughter's name down. I never used it. They were giving away $10 if you signed up a relative. I did it for the money.
It could probably be done if you used different addresses. Maybe get a PO box and then open a second account using the box address. You would also probably need a second credit card with PO box address as the billing address. In any case, that's what I'm doing with my eBay and eBid accounts, along with Amazon. I do everything through my post office box without ever sharing my home address with anyone for security reasons. Presumably, it would be a cinch to open a second account using my home address and a credit card with that address. I knid of doubt I could get away with shill bidding though, I think eBay has some sort of security software that will pick that off. Not that shill bidding is nearly the problem it once was since most listings are Buy-It-Now these days anyway.
Hi to all. Is ebid site auction good to pepole from Israel? I have simple coins that not cost much money and I need simple site. I get this from ebay but I did not think that it is not good for ebay. The problem is : " MC999 Listing policy alert: Duplicate Auction Listings " Thanks for achieving a sell-through rate of at least 30% for your duplicate auction-style listings. We appreciate your efforts. By doing this, you help our buyers discover a wide range of items available on eBay so they can quickly find what they want. There'll be no action taken on your duplicate auction-style listings at this time. Please continue to monitor your listings to make sure your sell-through rate doesn't drop below the minimum rate required. As long as you stay above 30%, you can continue to list duplicate auction-style listings of the same item. If you don't, your listings will be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including restrictions of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account. To check your sell-through rate on your duplicate auction-style listings, please go to: http://www.ebay.com/auctionduplicates For more information about our duplicate auction-style listings guidelines, please visit: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/search-manipulation.html#what We appreciate your cooperation. Thanks, eBay I did not think that it is a warning to me. Therfore I end all my simple coins that it is difficult to sell in ebay, and I want simple site that will give me opportunity to sell simple coins. Is ebid good for this? and what us the prices in ebid? thank you very much. Avi.
Regarding the initial question, I have three accounts all using the same paypal account and same mailing address and I don't have any problems. It won't let you use the same email address but that's it. I just started multiple accounts because they give you 50 free listings a month and this way I can list 150 a month for free.
Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn’t this be better suited for a different forum? I know we get a lot of questions about Ebay and that is fine but where do we draw the line? The original question should have been asked to Ebay and not a coin forum.
For new ebay account they give me to sell only 10 items (coins) for the first month. before maybe sellers get 50 items to sell free, now they probably make hard to seller to sell without pay money. I suggest to sell in other auction sites like webstore even there is no so much traffic. Thank you. Avi.
eBid does not charge an insertion fee, hence there is no incentive to prevent people from listing the same item a million times which would make the site less friendly to buyers. And so, they prohibit dupicate listings from the same buyer. However, if you have two identical coins, you can still list them both, you just have to use a slightly different title to describe them. For example, one could be listed as BU an the other BU+. eBid is a great way to sell inexpensive coins in my opinion. Takes longer to sell than on eBay, but it is much more cost effective.
Hi, ebay is not like before 2 years with "live help" , I have to waste money to call them in telephon. I wait maybe 5 minutes and talk about 15 minutes and the problem was not solved. I have 2 accounts in ebay. In the first account I have maybe about 900 possitive feedbcks 100% . I don't know why they did not let me sell in the new acount more then 10 items. I can't speak with them on telphone, I think that they are not proffesinal in they serices. Therefore I deceide to finish to buy and sell with ebay for 1 month. If I will see changes for good in ebay I will start to work with them again. Thank you.
