I've found this old thread quite interesting for the fact that the original poster still has contact with the site. So many only post once or twice and disappear into oblivion. Mrs. Peabod is still among us. :) Best of luck with your continued search for these elusive notes, Mrs. Peabod, and God Bless those grand kids. Especially the young gentleman who serves our country in a major hot spot. I pray that God keeps him safe and shines his countenance upon him.

Yes, it's good to see that you're still around. You must have subscribed to the thread? (e-mail notification?)

Are you in Illinois? Northern Illinois? Because there's a huge show (ANA World's Fair of money) going on this week in Rosemont at the Donald E. Stephens convention center through Saturday. Should be a lot of currency dealers there that might either have what you're looking for or get you in touch with somebody who does. $6 to get in for non-ANA members. Just an idea. Good luck.

dear green18 ~ thank you for your kind remarks regarding my Army grandson. he's doing well and is growing up, something he needed. he's a bright boy but was somewhat immature...the Army's helping him grow up. he's received many awards of merit and has found a niche. he has performed admirably in every task given so far. we're proud of him and appreciate your thoughts for his well-being. i'll stay tuned in here and check back when palmer bank info comes up. i hope this note finds you and yours well....have some great days as summer wanes....sincerely, mrs.peapod

dear Vess1 ~ i'm in southern california, not in illinois at all though i've visited danville a few times in my life. i would LOVE to go to that World's Fair of Money. the best i'll be able to manage is a trip to long beach, california, in september when there's a numismatic convention there. i went once only - five years ago - and made some good contacts. each year thereafter i wasn't around and missed the next four but i've *planned* for this one so it should be fun! if you go and find somebody with a note, please DO have them contact me through coin talk and maybe we can talk. thanks much for your interest in my search! i appreciate the many kind comments on this site - including your good references. be well! happy summer! sincerely, mrs. peapod
