Hoping you guys can help me with this coin.
I have been reading CoinTalk for a long time and respect the opinions, and politeness, given to new posters, so here is my first post.
I was hoping to cross it in to a PCGS holder, but I think it has a problem.
There is a mark at the base of Liberties cap around the 6th star.
Would you guys consider this a damaged coin.
I like the look of this coin, but I have received mixed reviews.
    Thanks

Is that a TPG slab? Doesn't look like it, but you need it in a TPG slab to cross it over.

Pcgs[IMG] is so picky!!! and if they see an ICG grade they my just body-bag it with genuine slab
I think if it were mine Ngc is were I would send it

What grade did IGC put on it?

Yes, I think PCGS would grade that coin.

NGC would be fine, but I guess my main concern is the mark and whether it looks suspect to anybody else?
I should also state, its graded an MS61.
My collection is rather small still, and this would be one of the better Morgan dates I own.
If the experts here think its a damaged coin, I would move it out and look for another coin.

I'm not sure that the TPGs will slab that. Typically they don't like X shaped scratches, particularly on common coins -- but it really depends on how badly the scratches stand out in-hand (and how "fresh" they are).

Given the value of the coin, I would give it a shot (although I think an AU grade is more likely than an MS grade, at least from the pics).

    All IMO, of course. :)

I think it goes in a genuine holder at PCGS. Those scratches are too much.

I also am going with the opinion of 'Genuine' damaged. Those scratches look deliberate and not from circulation.

I think I'm in agreement with the last few. It looks suspect to me also, so I'll save my time and the grading fee. I do appreciate the input.
