Have any of you ever heard of someone getting a custom Dansco Album built? I know you can buy the blank ones and blank pages but I am wanting an album that says "Hobos" so I can house my hobo coin collection in it. If Dansco dosn't make custom albums my second option is getting it put on at a book store like how they put peoples names on bibles. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
That actual sounds like an amazing idea on using Danscos albums for hobos. I did inquire with dansco about creating a custom book that had 2 key dates from each type set coin and they replied saying that they dont and to just buy blank pages. BUT if for some reason you do find that you can please inbox me ASAP. I inquired around Sept last year so things coulda changed!
I know they made some custom Danscos for the AFEES POGs but I belive they ordered a decent amount in order for Dansco to do that. I will let you know if I have any luck on my Hobo album.
I would just buy a blank one and have an artist etch it or something. Since that's how the nickels are done it seems fitting. I don't collect them, but the other day i was just browsing ebay and I saw one that was ending in less than a minute. I clicked on it and it sold. If I had saw it a little sooner it would have been mine.
Take a look at Capital Plastics, here: http://www.capitalplastics.com/ They do those sorts of specialty holders.
If Dansco make a blank album you can get the gold lettering and apply it yourself just like you can for labeling the individual holes. Check with stationary suppliers or art supplies. Here is one supplier of the gold lettering, cost is about ten dollars and there should be enough letters for several albums. Find a couple other people here who want to make a custom album, buy one set of letters and pass them around. Just make sure you all know what you want on your album so you can be sure there will be enough letters. http://www.ezrubontransfers.com/dev...p-2682.html?osCsid=g4lju00mf9e7fjq838ah0997f6
I can't find the thread, but someone made one on this site. I think they bought a blank album and then bought some kind of transfer paper. Printed his own labels and then placed them in the album. It looked like a nice album.
