Too small. Am I guess it's a 1943 steel penny or the copper plate removed?

What am I missing here? Unless it's dated 1944, it's one of 1,093,818,670 minted, and they are very easy to find.

I found one of those in the CoinStar last week.

 

I have 70 lots in BU and UNC that Im saving up for a rainy day and I also have two that are D/D (a lot rarer and a lot more valuable) Im hoping to send those two off to get slabbed along with some other stuff.

 

Got a steelie at the bank last week (they save odd stuff 4 me).
