Proof quarter found in circulation!

    OK, seein' the "A". I'm just thinkin' it's a weird combination of scratches from circulation. Interesting though......

    Really good pictures by the way! How did you take them? I've always had problems taking pictures of coins, proofs especially.

    Thanks much. Just a little Canon point n shoot, key is to use the macro setting. I put it on a table that was getting indirect sunlight through closed blinds so I'd get the reflection without the glare. Hope this helps you!

    .When I take the better pic hopefully you'll be able to see it's definitely not scratches.

    If you want a tip, skip the Philly area. Silver is tough to come by around here.

    Plenty of proofs to be found dotted around, though. I think I'm up to 9 proof nickels, 2 proof quarters, 2 proof cents, and a solid roll of proof half dollars. Haven't ever found a proof dime though...
