Don't listen to Rick. He just enjoys picking on people in these forums ;). It sounds like you got a fair deal. Not good, but not terribly bad. :)

I think you did fine. The Franklin Half is worth $14 alone! The 3 rolls of wheat pennies is worth $5. The Buffalo Nickel is worth $2 assuming is is in good condition. If the 1943 steel penny is in mint condition then that's $5, if not then it is 20 cents.

Dang, Rick ain't the kind o' guy to pick on folks. He's good people. He's just stressing the fact that good communication is of the utmost. That is to say that proper grammer and accepted forms of speach or written text should be employed most diligently. If one is to communicate and be taken seriously on these forums, then one must make an effort to write and express themselves accordingly......

I'm sure if you had a 9 year old son, you would love an adult talking to him like that. He is learning! I'm sure he goes to school. Is his English really that bad?

    Yes it is.

If we cannot understand what someone is writing there is no communication. We should not have to decipher gobbledygook. The schools teach proper writing skills (or at least they used to).

No kidding. My wife is a teacher, not english. It is amazing what passes for "english" these days.

You spelled 'grammar' and 'speech' wrong. So my dear sir, I must ask you to spell words in the English language correctly. Grammar may be key, but spelling is just as important.

What I wrote has perfect grammar and spelling, thus making your statement invalid.

If you like the coins you bought then that was a good buy.

Edited to change 'is' to 'was' because an English teacher is watching.

Green18, please note the " ;) " emoticon. It was not a serious remark. I was not trying to insult anyone.

Thank you, I was wondering how to phrase that very thought.

If you know enough to say ihc for Indian Head Cent, then review your note pre-posting.
