1970 S Mint ERROR

    Ok so the other day I found this while looking through some pocket change and came across a 1970 S mint that seems to be doubled. Since I'm an ametuer at these type things I could use a second opinion or more. Also I could use help on whether this is a small date or not also.

    Not sure about Large Date or Small Date but the doubling is strike doubling. (Note how the doubling is flat and shelf-like.)

    It looks like machine doubling (also called mechanical or strike doubling). Machine doubling will appear to be flat and shelf-like.

    Thanks for your feedback, that's what I initially thought because it only appears to affect the date portion of the coin, I also think the the front of the coin is a grease filled die as well. That's what got me looking closer at this coin.

    It looks like mechanical doubling (also called Machine or strike doubling). Mechanical doubling will appear to be flat or shelf-like.
