Nope. They still make them, but not for circulation.

You can buy rolls of them on the Bay, so I thought they were being released for circulation. I have run across the couple previous years of half dollars in UNC rolls at a local casino. So, can someone link to a place stating they are not released for circulation?

Take everyone's word for it, they are not being released by the mint for general circulation. You can buy mint rolls of uncirculated half dollars directly from the mint, though.

They only strike them for the proof and uncirculated mint sets. None are struck for general circulation anymore.

Thats an understatement. If you buy ONLY the two roll set, you'll pay .997 for each coin ($39.90/40). They will more than likely be from the bottom of the barrel with MS67 (which is the only money grade for these) being nearly impossible.

If you are a Dansco Collector, get the US Mint Set. You'll get a much nicer coin than whats available from the roll sets. Otherwise, maybe you'll get lucky and get one in circulation. I know that I;ve turned in a bunch since it costs much more to sell them than they are actually worth. Nobody will pay a $1.00 for a beat up 2011 Kennedy.

Or, you could go the bag route where the most you'd pay would be .70 each.
